Physics Front offers advanced learning analytics tools built with important contributions from physics principles.

PF’s mission is to develop and provide sharp, fast, and versatile learning analytics tools to capture and enhance learning in digital environments such as educational games (“serious games”). PF’s web-based tools will give detailed learning reports, real-time and cumulative, to teachers, parents, self-learners, and game designers, thereby making learning more engaged and games more optimized for learning.

While big data and data analytics are important words in the current landscape of digital technology, educators want better data, not more data. Thus, PF believes that advanced learning analytics methods combined with sharp probing questions about student learning can be much more helpful than using generic data analytics methods on quantities of data.
